OpenAI will start using Google’s cloud servers despite AI rivalry

The two companies finalized a deal in which OpenAI will use Google’s cloud servers for additional computing capacity to train and run its AI models. The terms of the deal remain unknown, but sources indicate it has been in the negotiation phase for the past several months.

Mistral announced the launch of its Magistral reasoning model

The reasoning model is designed for research, strategic planning, operational optimization, and data-driven decision-making, the company said. It also shows users the thought processes so that it’s more transparent, and it supports multiple languages to perform better when answering non-English queries.

OpenAI launched o3-pro AI model

o3-pro is “designed to think longer and provide the most reliable responses”, and has access to many more software tool integrations than its predecessor, o1-pro. OpenAI said o3-pro is available now for all ChatGPT Pro and Team users.

Google has officially started rolling out Android 16

The company said new devices will come preloaded with the OS in “the coming months”. Android 16 introduces support for a new type of notification that apps can show called Live Updates. They’ll appear at the top of the notification panel, above nearly all other alerts except for the media player.
