YouTube is testing a new feature that will allow viewers to add “Notes” to provide more context to videos
Notes will appear at the bottom of the videos when YouTube thinks they’re “broadly helpful” after analyzing user-submitted ratings. The company clarified that users can add notes to a video to “clarify when a song is meant to be a parody, point out when a new version of a product being reviewed is available, or let viewers know when older footage is mistakenly portrayed as a current event”.

Meta’s Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) team announced the release of five new AI models
The models are centered on audio generation, text-to-vision, and watermarking. One of them is JASCO, which can take different audio inputs, such as a chord or a beat, to improve the final AI-generated sound. The company also launched AudioSeal, which adds watermarks to AI-generated speech.

Asus has released updates to patch multiple high-severity vulnerabilities
Most severe of the flaws is an authentication bypass issue, tracked as CVE-2024-3080, which could have been used to enable remote infiltration of devices. Another one was a buffer overflow issue, tracked as CVE-2024-3079, and it could have been exploited to allow command execution among attackers with admin privileges to breached routers.

FTC files complaint against Adobe for deceptive subscription plans
According to the FTC, Adobe describes its subscription plan as monthly but charges cancellation fees when a user wants to cancel it earlier than one year. Additionally, Adobe places numerous obstacles within the cancellation process.
