Google officially launched Gemini with personalization

The feature is powered by the Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking Experimental model, and it will use the search history to deliver “uniquely insightful” answers. In the coming months, Gemini will connect to Photos, YouTube, and other Google services to offer deeper, preference-based insights.

North Korean government hackers uploaded Android spyware onto the Google Play app store

Researchers with cybersecurity firm Lookout have discovered the spyware, dubbed KoSpy, in multiple Android apps, some that were available in Google Play after passing the company’s security vetting. KoSpy can collect text messages and call logs, find the device’s location, record key strokes, access files and folders, record audio and take photos.

AI search engines fail to produce accurate citations in over 60% of tests, according to a study

A new study from Columbia Journalism Review’s Tow Center for Digital Journalism conducted tests on ChatGPT search, Perplexity, Perplexity Pro, DeepSeek Search, Copilot, Grok 2, Grok 3, and Gemini, which all have live search capabilities. Across the 1600 test queries, the search engines failed to retrieve the correct information more than 60% of the time.

Samsung and Nvidia will upgrade mobile networks with AI

Samsung has announced that it is working with Nvidia to advance AI-RAN technologies. This project aims to support adoption of AI in mobile networks by expanding the ecosystem of Central Processing Unit and support partnerships with Graphics Processing Unit companies.
