OpenAI launched ChatGPT for Windows

The app is an early version and is currently only available to ChatGPT Plus, Team, Enterprise, and Edu users. The AI assistant can be accessed via a keyboard shortcut (Alt + Space). Users can upload files and photos to it, have it summarize documents, and create images via OpenAI’s DALL-E 3 image generator.

Nvidia unveiled a new AI model, Llama-3.1-Nemotron-70B-Instruct

Called Nemotron, the model represents Nvidia’s attempt to build more “useful” AI than what today’s systems offer. The company claims that the model is breaking records for remarkable superiority compared to AI tools such as GPT-4 and Anthropic’s Claude-3.

YouTube is testing a new version of its Premium Lite subscription

YouTube briefly offered a Premium Lite subscription for some countries in the EU before discontinuing it in October 2023. Now, the company confirmed it is testing a different version of Premium Lite in Australia, Germany, and Thailand.

Microsoft lost weeks of security logs for some of its cloud products

Microsoft is notifying customers that their logging data had not been consistently collected between September 2nd and September 19th. The lost logs include security data commonly used to monitor for suspicious traffic, behavior, and login attempts on a network.
