A ransomware attack forced 18 Romanian hospitals to go offline

The attack targeted the Hipocrate Information System (HIS) used by hospitals to manage medical activity and patient data. The attackers encrypted hospital data using the Backmydata ransomware. Romania’s National Cyber Security Directorate (NCSD) has dispatched specialists to investigate the incident.

Nvidia launched Chat with RTX, a local Windows chatbot

Once a users downloads and installs it, they can connect the Chat with RTX app with the locally stored data, such as documents, PDF files, videos, and more. It can then create summaries and get relevant answers based on that data.

Apple approved a fake ‘LastPass Password Manager’ app for the App Store

The fake version of LastPass was available for weeks before it was eventually taken down. The company removed the app, but at the same time, it allowed a separate app submitted by the same developer to remain.
