OpenAI launched GPT-4o AI model, that can talk, laugh, sing and see like a human

The new model accepts any combination of text, audio and images as input and can generate an output in all three formats. It’s also capable of recognizing emotion, realistically simulate various emotions of its own and offer advice on a multitude of topics.

Google unveiled ‘Project Astra’ assistant

Project Astra it’s a real-time, multimodal AI assistant that can see the world, knows what things are and where users left them and can answer questions. Project Astra is an early-stage feature with no specific launch plans, but Google has hinted that some of these capabilities may be integrated into products like the Gemini app later this year.

Google launched a new generative AI video model called Veo

Google Veo is a text-to-video generator that creates 1080p videos from prompts in a quality that seems to match OpenAI’s Sora. Google claims Veo has “an advanced understanding of natural language and visual semantics” to create whatever video users have in mind.

ChatGPT now has Google Drive and OneDrive integration

ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Enterprise users can directly access, and analyze, data files stored in Google Drive (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and Microsoft OneDrive (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Android 15 will add a new security feature called Theft Detection Lock

Google said its algorithms can detect motions associated with theft, like those associated with grabbing the phone and bolting, biking or driving away. Any of those theft-like shock motions will make the phone auto-lock. Also, another new feature will be Remote Lock, to remotely lock the phone’s screen from any device with only the phone number and the completion of a “quick security challenge”.
