ChatGPT’s new feature, Code Interpreter, introduces a high security risk

Code Interpreter allows Python code execution and file analysis. The code is created and run in a sandbox environment that is unfortunately vulnerable to prompt injection attacks. The attack involves tricking ChatGPT into executing instructions from a third-party URL, leading it to encode uploaded files into a URL-friendly string and send this data to a malicious website.

Google reportedly pays Apple 36 percent of search advertising revenues from Safari

The number, which was supposed to remain confidential, was revealed by Kevin Murphy, an economics professor at the University of Chicago, during his testimony on behalf of Alphabet at the Google antitrust trial. The US Justice Department filed its antitrust charges alleging Google’s search monopoly following an investigation by 50 US attorneys general that began in 2019.

The platform will soon require disclosures on videos that have been created by AI tools like DALL-E 3, Bing Image Creator, and more. Google claims that this type of content could mislead viewers and “pose a serious risk of egregious harm”.

Microsoft renamed Bing Chat as Copilot

Starting today, Bing Chat and Bing Chat Enterprise is named simply Copilot. Microsoft 365 Copilot is Copilot for Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Sales Copilot turned into Copilot for Sales. In addition to changing the name, the shift makes Bing Chat more of a standalone experience, like ChatGPT.
