WhatsApp will add Voice Chat for groups of 33 people or more
According to WhatsApp’s support page, ‘Voice chats’ are only available for groups of 33 to 128 people. Similar to personal WhatsApp calls and messages, all voice chats are end-to-end encrypted. The feature will be rolling out on iOS and Android in the coming weeks.

Google reportedly pays Apple 36 percent of search advertising revenues from Safari
The number, which was supposed to remain confidential, was revealed by Kevin Murphy, an economics professor at the University of Chicago, during his testimony on behalf of Alphabet at the Google antitrust trial. The US Justice Department filed its antitrust charges alleging Google’s search monopoly following an investigation by 50 US attorneys general that began in 2019.

Google sued scammers that released a Bard knockoff with malware
Google said the alleged scammers are misusing its trademarks with names like “Google AI” and “AIGoogleBard” to lure users into installing the malware. The company also wants damages, including all the money made from the scam. Google’s official blog post on the matter notes that it sent over 300 takedown requests before opting for the lawsuit.

Qualcomm is scrapping plans to offer a satellite SOS feature for Android phones
The feature, Snapdragon Satellite, was announced in partnership with the satellite communications company Iridium, in January. Iridium said that although the two companies had successfully developed and demonstrated the technology, smartphone manufacturers had not included the technology in their devices.
