X video Spaces
X enabled live video broadcasts in Spaces

Spaces, the live audio feature in X, has added a new capability, allowing hosts to activate video during chat sessions. Hosts can broadcast with either their front or rear cameras and in vertical or landscape orientation. The Video Spaces feature is currently only available on the iOS version of the X app, with no confirmation of its launch on Android or the web.


Stack Overflow announced a partnership with Google Cloud

A key part of the partnership involves integrating Stack Overflow’s knowledge base into Google Cloud’s AI tools like Gemini and the Cloud Console. Developers using Gemini for Google Cloud will be able to access Stack Overflow directly from the Google Cloud console, bringing them greater access to information.


Facebook will remove its News tab in the U.S. and Australia

Meta has announced that it will no longer enter deals to pay news publishers for the content shown on Facebook. Last year, Meta also discontinued Facebook News in the UK, Germany, and France saying that it wanted to allocate resources “to our products and services people value the most”.


Wikipedia downgrades CNET’s credibility as an information source due to AI-generated content issues

The incident that led to Wikipedia’s reassessment of CNET began when the publication introduced AI-generated articles under the guise of efficiency and innovation.
