Opera will integrate Google’s Gemini AI into its web browser
Opera has announced that it signed a partnership with Google Cloud to access its Gemini AI models for the Aria browser AI. Opera’s Aria utilises multiple AI models rather than just one and now it can tap into Gemini, which the company says provides Opera users “with the most current information”.

OpenAI created a Safety and Security Committee made up of its board members
The Committee plans to “evaluate and further develop” the company’s processes and safeguards over the next 90 days. After that, the group will share its recommendations with the entire board. OpenAI also confirmed that it is currently training its next model, which will succeed GPT-4.

The Chromebook Plus laptops will support new features like Google’s “Help me write” tool and the ability to make custom wallpaper with generative AI. The company will also add access to the Magic Editor feature for Google Photos for quick edits of images and video, with AI-based tools.
