Meta will label AI-generated content on Facebook, Instagram and Threads
In the coming months, Meta will detect and label photos generated by its own generator and those of other companies such as Midjourney, Dall-E, and Bing Image Creator. The watermarks will read “Imagined with AI”. In addition, Meta will soon require users to disclose if they are sharing video or audio created solely with AI.

WhatsApp will soon be interoperable with other messaging apps
In order to comply with the European Union’s Digital Markets Act (DMA), WhatsApp will offer to the users the option to directly send message on different platforms like iMessage, Telegram and Signal. To enable this interoperability, third-party services will need to sign a contract with Meta before integrating with WhatsApp.

OpenAI will add a watermark to images generated by DALL-E 3
The watermark comes in two forms: an invisible metadata component and a visible CR symbol, positioned in the image’s top left corner. The implementation of these labels aims to make it easier for everyone to trace the origins of digital images.

Europe aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuels by 90 percent by 2040
The EU released a strategy document for capturing carbon dioxide emissions alongside the 2040 plan. To achieve the 90 percent goal, the EU would need to be able to store 280 million metric tons of captured carbon dioxide a year.
