WhatsApp added support for HD photos and video
WhatsApp users can now share 720p videos, up from 480p which used to be the only choice. The HD videos are protected with end-to-end encryption. This feature comes days after the app allowed users to send HD photos on Android and iOS.

China’s government has banned officials at central government agencies from bringing foreign-branded phones, including the iPhone, into offices or using them for government work. The aim is reportedly to reduce reliance on foreign technology and improve cybersecurity.

YouTube is testing games on desktop and mobile
The company will add a new “Playables” section on the site that will include games that can be played on both the desktop website and mobile devices. Playables will only appear for “a limited number of users to start”.
