Google admited that a Gemini AI demo video was faked
The video called “Hands-on with Gemini: Interacting with multimodal AI” was edited to speed up the outputs (which was declared in the video description). Also, the implied voice interaction between the human user and the AI was actually non-existent. The actual demo was made by “using still image frames from the footage, and prompting via text”, rather than having Gemini respond to, or even predict, a drawing or change of objects on the table in real time.

Microsoft added voice dictation support to the new Outlook for Windows
The feature allows users to write emails using their voices. The new Outlook for Windows is web-based and replaced the Mail and Calendar apps on PCs. It was launched with Windows 11 23H2 update.

WhatsApp launched disappearing voice messages
The new feature will allow users to send a voice message that can only be listened to once before it disappears, similar to the “View Once” option for photos and videos introduced in 2021. WhatsApp plans to roll out the new feature “globally over the coming days”.

Google has released an updated version of the Google Drive app to resolve the missing file issues
For the hundreds of Windows and Mac users that had missing files going back months, Google has issued a fix in the latest version. Users should install the latest version of Drive for desktop, which should be version 85.0.13.0 or newer. Once installed, Google said users click the Drive for desktop button in their menu bar or system tray, and while holding the Shift key, they should click Settings, where “Recover from backups” should appear.
