Anthropic launched Claude Opus 4, a new AI model optimized for coding and complex problem-solving tasks
The company said Claude Opus 4 is the “best coding model in the world”. According to Anthropic, Opus 4 is dramatically better at tasks that require it to complete thousands of separate steps, giving it the ability to work continuously for several hours in one go.

Microsoft Notepad now has an AI-powered writing assistant
Microsoft is adding generative AI to Notepad, enabling users to generate content directly within the app using a feature called Write. The feature was first discovered earlier this year in code included in test builds of Windows 11.

Mozilla will shut down its Pocket and Fakespot services to focus on Firefox
Pocket is the “read it later” service the company acquired in 2017 and integrated into the Firefox web browser. Fakespot is an online tool that uses AI to scan online reviews to assess the likelihood of inauthentic behavior, fake reviews, and scams.
